A COMPANY OVERVIEW
Wyatt-Lorenz, LLC ("W-L") was recently (2006) spun out from Wyatt Technology Corporation ("WTC"), which was founded over twenty-five years ago. W-L was created to facilitate the development and placement of its Immediate Warning Systems offering protection against aerosol releases associated with a bio-terrorist attack. W-L intends to manufacture, lease, and service these interactive detector systems. In addition, W-L will manufacture and sell tools derived
from these systems for remediation and forensic purposes following such attacks.
Wyatt-Lorenz is located in Santa Barbara, CA, as part of Wyatt Technology Corporation’s new 30,000 sq ft. facility, which includes state-of-the-art electronics and biochemistry laboratories, manufacturing facilities, optics laboratories, and a large software development facility. The Company is privately funded and received its initial financing from WTC and Dr. Philip Wyatt, its founder.

WTC was founded in 1982 by Dr. Philip Wyatt and was centered on his patents and inventions in the industrial, military and medical fields. Specifically, WTC has developed instruments that measure the light scattering properties unique to various particles and macromolecules airborne and in solution, respectively. Clients of WTC’s light scattering instruments include: most biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies such as Amgen, Astra Zeneca, Genentech, Glaxo-Smith-Klein, Novartis, Pfizer, Weyth, and Merck; chemical companies such as ExxonMobil, Dow, Chevron, DuPont, and General Electric, as well as extensive academic and government laboratories worldwide. As a spin-off company, Wyatt-Lorenz is using much of Wyatt Technology Company’s infrastructure (equipment and space) and personnel (support and technical staff) until W-L is fully staffed and can make the transition to a separate entity.
