WHO IS LORENZ
?
Ludvig Valentine Lorenz (1821 to 1891) was the great Danish
physicist who, among his many scientific accomplishments,
developed a theory of electromagnetism at variance with
Maxwell’s fundamental theory. Nevertheless, Lorenz’ theory
predicted correctly how homogeneous spherical particles
scatter light. This result has formed the basis for interpreting
the manner by which particles (e. g. bacteria, spores, viruses,
etc.) scatter light and their identity: the fundamental
basis of the Company’s immediate warning systems.
